Belize Zoo and Cave Tubing via Air Transfers
For Roundtrip Water Taxi Transfers:
Board your island transfer and head to the mainland. Your guide will be waiting for you on arrival at the terminal with your name on a sign.
Set within 29 acres the Zoo is more of a Sanctuary than the typical Zoo setting. Showcasing 45 indigenous species, the Belize Zoo celebrates Belize’s amazing wildlife. More than just exhibits, these animals are ambassadors – creating a depth of appreciation, understanding, and respect for Belize’s delicate ecosystems. Founded in 1983 to care for abandoned animals, the Belize Zoo continues its tradition of providing a home to injured and orphaned wildlife in their natural habitats.
Then it’s on to a refreshing dip in the Caves Branch River on your cave tubing adventure at the Nohoch Che’en Reserve. Grab a tube and head off on one of Belize’s most popular adventures! Start with a jungle trail walk learning about the medicinal and traditional uses of the rainforest plants and trees. Explore a dry cave en route to the cave entrance. Then enter an exciting realm where rivers disappear into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to lead the way.
Level: Easy – Moderate (some walking & stair climbing)
