Experience the Belize Baboon Sanctuary at the Bermudian Landing Community. Step off the beaten path and witness small village life. Stretching across 20 square miles of tropical rain-forest, the Belize Baboon Sanctuary is home to over 2500 black howler monkeys. The villagers have made a commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism. This is an authentic wildlife tour – not trained or domesticated monkeys. You will search the jungle with your guide – the incredible howling is a give-away that you have found the troupe! The Belize Baboon Sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to see these charismatic creatures in their natural habitat, while supporting the local community. Sightings and feedings are not guaranteed – but if experienced, never forgotten!
