Restroom facilities are are also available. From there, your air-conditioned van takes you west toward the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve, one of Belize’s most pristine protected areas.
The Hike: A 45-minute jungle trek through the reserve brings you to the cave entrance, with three crossings of the Roaring River along the way. Your guide points out native plants, tracks wildlife, and shares the history of the Maya as you walk.
