Day 1: Hello Belize!

When you arrive at the Int’l Airport you will go through Immigration then collect your bags. After clearing Customs, you will exit through large wooden doors. On your immediate right is the streetside exit where your Tour Director will be waiting with your name on a sign. You will transfer to your Belize City hotel for the next two nights as an ideal base point for upcoming adventures.

Day 2: Lamanai Maya Temple & New River Tour, Howler Monkey Sanctuary, Belize City Historical Tour

Your group departs after breakfast for the northern district of Orange Walk. At the New River, you will board your boat for a guided trip down the river observing flora & fauna until you arrive at the site. Your guided tour takes you along jungle shrouded trails to all the different temples at the site, including the Mask Temple & High Temple. After a local lunch with beverage, you depart the site for your return to Belize City. Enjoy a stop at the Howler Monkey Sanctuary to get a personal and upclose experience with these “baboons” as they are locally referred to. We’ll take the scenic route back to the hotel discovering the mysteries of this old British colonial settlement.

Day 3: Cave Tubing & Zip Line Tour / Transfer to San Ignacio

Your group departs after breakfast for the western district of Cayo. En route, we’ll enjoy Belize’s most loved tour – Cave Tubing & Zip Line! Once we arrive at Nohoch Chen Park, we’ll gear up with our inner tubes, helmet, headlamps, life vests and head down the trail. We’ll cross the river and then head through the jungle and dry caves while your guide points out interesting tidbits along the way. At the riverside, we’ll enter the river on our tubes for the float downstream through the cave system, as well as along the open, jungle-lined river. From there its lunch followed by the Zip Line adventure! You’ll gear up with your harness, gloves & helmet and zip from tree to tree at canopy level! After the tour, we continue our journey into the Cayo district where we will spend the two nights and enjoy more adventures.

Day 4: Xunantunich Maya Temple & Community Service Project

Your group departs after breakfast to enjoy a guided tour of Xunantunich. We’ll cross the hand-cranked ferry and head up hill to view El Castillo and learn about this important Maya site. After lunch, we’ll visit a community school, roll up our sleeves and lend a hand improving a part of the school environment for lessprivileged children while having a great time and making new friends!

Day 5: Green Iguana Conservation Project, Belize Zoo Transfer to San Pedro Ambergris Caye

Your group departs after breakfast to enjoy a guided tour of Iguana Conservation Project in San Ignacio. From there, we start our journey back to Belize City, stopping in at The Belize Zoo en route. After a guided tour of the zoo, with optional Animal Encounters. A water taxi transfer gets us to the island where we will enjoy our final two nights.

Day 6: Hol Chan Marine Reserve & Shark & Ray Alley Reef Snorkel / Open Afternoon

After breakfast, we’ll gear up with mask, snorkel, and fins, and life vests if desired. We’ll head out on a short boat ride to the Barrier Reef – the largest living reef in the Western Hemisphere! Enter the water on a guided tour at the Reserve, where the fish come right up for a closer view of you! The Reserve is protected and teeming with marine life and soft and hard corals. Then its on to feed the sharks and rays! Enjoy it from the boat or get it in the water for an upclose experience. We’ll return to the island for lunch, and from there you are free to enjoy San Pedro at your leisure.[/timeline]

Day 7: Departure / Transfer to Int’l Airport

Your Belize adventure is at an end, but with memories to last a lifetime! We’ll enjoy a quick breakfast and depart San Pedro via boat to the mainland, where your bus and driver will be waiting for you for the transfer to the International Airport. timeline_item]
