Blue Hole Snorkel
Your Blue Hole Expedition day starts with a complimentary hotel pick up at 5:30am. On San Pedro complimentary hotel pickup extends from Complimentary pick up extends from 8 miles north of twon thru 5 miles south of town. On Caye Caulker, golf cart taxi pickup includes all of the main downtown area of Caye Caulker.
At the dive shop, provide your own snorkel gear or rent on site at the shop at an additional fee (snorkel gear is included on Caye Caulker). A light continental breakfast is included on the dock before departure at 6:15am.
Your day trip includes the following sites:
- The Great Blue Hole
- Half Moon Caye
- Long Caye
The park fee total of US$40 is due in cash on the tour day.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on Half Moon Caye and a beach reak. Return to the island is at approximately 4:30pm.
About the Blue Hole Snorkel
At Lighthouse Reef the first dive starts within the Blue Hole. This was once a massive dry cave formed above land (not underwater) during the an ice age when sea levels were much lower. The stalactites found within the Blue Hole scuba dive point to evidence of this dry cave.
Devoid of color and home to only the bravest, the Blue Hole is over 450 feet deep and about 1000 feet across. One dives the Belize Blue Hole for the experience of diving the geological past. For astounding color and vibrancy, the other two dives around Lighthouse Reef seal the deal!
