You will depart Belize City via the water taxi to Caye Caulker. An afternoon departure will have you on the island just around check in time. You can opt for an earlier or later trip to the island if you wish. There are various water taxi departures throughout the day.

On arrival, your taxi driver will be at the dock with your name on a sign waiting for you. On the way to your hotel, the driver will point out the snorkel shop location.

DAY 2: Blue Hole Snorkel Tour

guided 3-stop snorkel experience including 3 sites on Lighthouse Reef Atoll and a picnic lunch and beverages on Halfmoon Caye

NOT INCLUDED:

transfer from your hotel to the snorkel shop on tour day
marine park fee – due in cash at the snorkel shop on tour day @ US$40per person
wet suit or other equipment, if desired
the tour experience ends after the tour returns to the island at approx 4:00pm – taxi transfers, island departure transfers, or additional nights on the island are not included

NOTES AND REMINDERS:

please arrange with the front desk for early check-out and/or luggage storage since your tour returns past check out time
if you would like to arrange a 2nd night stay, you may do so directly with the front desk or we would also be happy to arrange that for you
check-in time at the snorkel shop is 5:30am / trip returns at approx 3:30pm
the marine park fee can only be paid in cash – no card payments
the continental breakfast is light-fare and we suggest taking along your favorite snacks!
bring along a towel, sunblock, cap, music or book and flipflops or sandals
your personal water bottle will come in handy

YOUR ISLAND HOTEL:

We select a moderate level (on the beach or one road across from the beach) for your stay at an average rate of US$150 per night based on standard season. Your hotel location is ideally situated to be in the center of town and within easy walking distance to the snorkel shop. Sample hotels include La Isla Resort or Island Magic Beach Resort.
Once booked, there are no refunds on the hotel portion of your stay as this is non-refundable.

About the Blue Hole Snorkel

At Lighthouse Reef the first dive starts within the Blue Hole. This was once a massive dry cave formed above land (not underwater) during the an ice age when sea levels were much lower. The stalactites found within the Blue Hole scuba dive point to evidence of this dry cave.

Devoid of color and home to only the bravest, the Blue Hole is over 450 feet deep and about 1000 feet across. One dives the Belize Blue Hole for the experience of diving the geological past. For astounding color and vibrancy, the other two dives around Lighthouse Reef seal the deal!
