8 May * Day 1 | Arrival – Transfer to San Ignacio: 2 nights

Welcome to Belize!  After disembarking your int’l flight, you will proceed through Immigration, Baggage and finally, Customs.  Exit the terminal through large doors on your right to the street-side.  Your guide will be waiting to meet you for the transfer to your hotel in San Ignacio – the perfect jumping off point for your Belize adventures! We’ll enjoy a tour stop at Xunantunich Maya Temple before hotel check-in. Cahal Pech Lodge is a full-service resort perched on the top of the hill overlooking San Ignacio Town.  This is an ideal location, just far enough from the hustle-bustle of downtown, but very close to all your adventures! The hilltop offers amazing views in the morning and evening from the porch of your thatched stand-alone cabana.
Transfers: meet & greet at PGIA airport, private transfer to hotel
Activities: Xunantunich Maya Temple (park fee, guided tour)

9 May * Day 2 | Tikal Maya Temple
Your guide will meet you in the lobby at 7:00am for the tour transfer.  You will disembark your vehicle at the Belize/Melchor border.  After crossing the borders, you will then board your Guatemala transfer for the trip to Tikal. The tour is in English. A local lunch is included. We will return to the hotel at approx. 6:30pm.  Your border crossing fee is not included (approx. US$20pp).

10 May * Day 3 | ATM Maya Cave + Hotel Transfer
It’s check out time with a transfer to Belize City.  But first, an exciting Maya cave adventure! Ranked in the top 10 by National Geographic, the ATM Cave is an amazing experience. Hike through the jungle, cross the rivers, and explore deep within the cave system with your expert and specially licensed guide! Your tour day starts at 7:30am with hotel pickup and ends at approx. 5:30pm drop off in Belize City.  On arrival in the city, check in to your hotel. Ideally situated, your Belize City hotel offers quick access to Altun Ha for the next day.

Activities: ATM Cave: park fees, guided tour, tour gear, local lunch

11 May * Day 7 | Departure + Altun Ha Temple

It’s time to head home!  Your driver will be in the lobby waiting for you approx. 7hrs prior to your international flight time. We’ll bring your luggage along after checking out.  Enjoy a guided tour of Altun Ha before being dropped off at the International Airport.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: Vacation Packages | UpClose Belize Ltd

To ensure a seamless experience and the proper coordination of all package elements (including accommodations, tours, and transfers), the following policies apply to all vacation package bookings:

Written Notice Requirement: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email. The date and timestamp on the written email notice will be used to determine the applicable refund tier.

Tiered Refund Schedule:

60 Days or More Prior to Arrival: Cancellations received 60 days or more before the scheduled arrival date will receive a 100% refund of the total package price, less a non-refundable administrative handling fee of US$100.00 per person.

59 to 45 Days Prior to Arrival: Cancellations received within this window will receive a 50% refund of the deposit paid.

44 Days or Less Prior to Arrival: No refunds will be granted for cancellations received 45 days or less before the scheduled arrival date.

High Season & Holiday Periods: For bookings during Peak Season (including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Spring Break), stricter cancellation windows apply. Cancellations made 90 to 61 days before arrival incur a US$100.00 per room penalty; cancellations 60 to 46 days before arrival incur a 50% penalty; and cancellations 45 days or less result in no refund.

No-Shows & Early Departures: No refunds or credits will be issued for “no-shows,” early departures, or late arrivals.

Unused Portions: Vacation packages are sold as a complete experience. No refunds or credits are given for any unused portions of a package, including tours, meals, or hotel stays not taken by the guest.

Inclement Weather & Acts of God: While UpClose Belize reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to adverse weather or conditions beyond our control for safety reasons, unused portions of a package resulting from such events or “Acts of God” remain non-refundable and non-transferable. We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect their investment.

Payment Failure: In the event that a final balance payment is not received by the due date (typically 45 days prior to arrival), UpClose Belize reserves the right to cancel the reservation. In such cases, any deposits made are non-refundable.
