Cave Tubing and Xunantunich from Placencia
Don’t waste a day in Belize! We’ll start at the temple – The “Maiden of the Rock” is a Classic period ceremonial center, with large plazas ringed with pyramids. The center is composed of six major plazas highlighting the steep but short, “El Castillo”, the main temple at Xunantunich ruins. Follow in the footsteps of the ancient elite and shamen over 130ft to the top to take in the scenic jungle view.
From here we will head over to Nohoch Che’en Park. After a delicious local lunch, prepare to tube! Geared up with your headlamp, helmet, lifevest, and tube follow your guide along the path to the river. Cross the river following the jungle trail on a 30min walk. The path is mostly level over even terrain.
