Cave Tubing Belize and Zipline
So many tours to choose from to complement your horseback riding in Belize tour! Here are two great options!
Nohoch Che’en Park is home to the largest river cave system and ideal final tour on the horseback riding in Belize 3X combo. The archaeological reserve comprises a karst landscape. This network of limestone caves is the largest in all of Central America! The jungle trail leads through a small dry cave along the way.
Geologists indicate that it took several hundred thousand years to form. Visiting the cave is to experience part of the world’s geological past! Archaeologists concur that the ancient Maya utilized the site for important rituals. Caves were considered as gateways to the underworld and for the Mayas, this was most sacred.
“Today’s modern visitor enjoys a unique opportunity to observe the awesome geological features of the site, and to ponder the nature of prehistoric human utilization.”
The thrill of the zipline creates a lasting memory! Starting at the “chicken” platform, get a sense of the adventure ahead. Outfitted in safety gear, sit back in your harness as you dangle from the cable, step off the platform and gravity does the rest! Keep going between platforms – your guide team is there to send you off from one platform while the other team meets you at the arrival platform. It’s an amazing experience to remember!
During your Cave Tube + Zip Line + Horseback Riding in Belize
Following the clothing guidelines offers the most comfortable experience. On the horseback riding in Belize, long pants protect your legs against the saddle and closed shoes keep your toes safe from any unexpected spiky leaves.
The park offers a changing room to get into shorts for a cool zip line. Keep the shorts for the cave tubing or change into a swimsuit. You can always wear the swimsuit under your clothing as well.
On the cave tube tour whatever you start with will be 100% wet. That includes footwear so water shoes are best! Flip flops are not a good idea for several reasons. However, if you do not want to get your sneakers wet then water shoe rentals and sales are available from cash vendors at the park. Click here for info on horseback riding in Belize.
