ATM Belize cave tour from San Pedro via Water taxi
The ATM Belize is absolutely the BEST Mayan cave adventure to experience from San Pedro.
Hop aboard your 90 mins water ferry to the mainland. Your guide will be waiting for you with your name on a sign. The first leg is a 75-minute drive to meet your second tour vehicle. On arrival at the famous “Teakettle Junction”, you will switch vehicles to head deep into the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve.
Within the Reserve, start with a 45-minute jungle trek including river crossings and jungle terrain. Ranked as the TOP cave system by National Geographic, ATM Belize, “Cave of the Stone Sepulcher”, is one of the most impressive caves in the Maya Lowlands.
The cave system consists of a series of chambers, ending in a large Cathedral where human sacrificial remains and artifacts can be viewed in their original context.
