Altun Ha is easily accessible from San Pedro making it a great choice for a shorter tour experience. The site has been cleared and restored, making it easy to imagine its past glory and wealth as a major ceremonial centre. The most spectacular find here was a jadeite carving of the head of Kinich Ahau, the Sun God.
