General Information Belize Adventures - Belize is truly an adventure destination and there are so many activities to choose from. It is important to know that most of these adventures are high level activities and do require a moderate level of fitness to participate in and enjoy. Jungle treks can get humid, so be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Hotel Departure - Half day tours depart in the morning and / or afternoon. Most full day tours depart at 8:15am from your hotel lobby. Hotel Return - Full day tours return usually return by 4:00pm / 5:00pm Included on Tours - Half day tours include entrance fees, water, and your guided tour. Full day tours also include lunch. Additional equipment such as inner tubes, headlights, flashlights, snorkel gear and such are also included. Not Included - Border fees for Tikal are not included. Also, please bring along any personal medication you will need, especially on full day tours. A little extra cash is a good idea for gift shop items or unexpected purchases (like extra batteries!). Combination Tours - These tours offer combinations of popular tours and are a great way to enjoy the most of your day trip, especially inland. We carefully select our combinations so that adequate time can be spent at the different sites and also make the most of your day outing at the same time! Please feel free to ask about any combinations that are not listed.
What to Wear / Bring - On inland trips: we suggest a hat, sunglasses, long pants (either jeans or lightweight material), and a layered long sleeve short over a tank top or other shirt. While flip flops may seem more comfortable, study boots or a good pair of sneakers is a better option - and in some cases, mandatory - for providing traction on temple climbs and on jungle treks. A change of clothes, swimsuit or towel is ideal for those trips where getting wet may be an option! Sunscreen and bug repellent are also wise choices. Don't forget your camera! A Note on Tipping - Gratuities are not included in your tour rates. Tipping is completely optional and left to your discretion for a job well done. Liability Waiver - Upclose Wildlife Tours requires that a liability waiver be signed before departing on any excursion. |
