This long-established resort acclaimed for snorkeling and scuba diving, recently added an array of eco-friendly activities. An on-site marine biologist helps visitors understand the amazing undersea world of Belize. Nestled within 1,300 acres of island forest on a private white sand beach, the resort is comprised of 18 individual beachfront cabanas offering a personal, private and relaxing atmosphere. Renowned for its biodiversity above and underwater, Turneffe Atoll offers something for everyone: world-class scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, beachcombing, and nature walks to observe colorful land birds, and a variety of seabirds.

The main dock, which houses the dive and snorkel shop, is the focus of resort activities. Caribbean style cuisine with fresh foods prepared by our chef and served in a unique dining palapa by a friendly staff. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style. Afternoon snacks are served by the bar or in the dining palapa. Dinner is served to you at your table. Coffee, tea, juices and water are available all day. We can cater to any special dietary needs with advance notice. The newly constructed Cantina sits on the water’s edge and houses our lounge and bar -- a perfect place to socialize. Children are always welcome at Blackbird Caye Resort. Casual attire is a must.
Accommodations
The resort holds 36 guests based on double occupancy. All our private air-conditioned cabanas offer a porch and swinging hammock cooled by natural trade winds, facing the eastern Caribbean Sea. Each individual cabana has ceiling fans, one or two beds, nightstands and closet area. The baths are modern and equipped with hot showers. Deluxe cabanas have large sitting areas and other amenities, while families often like our Duplex or Triplex with adjoining bedrooms and shared porch. Now with free WiFi internet access in rooms!
Deluxe Cabanas: Newly-constructed deluxe cabanas are more spacious than our standard units. Each suite has a separate bedroom with king beds, ceiling fan, CD player, and air-conditioning unit, and private bath with shower. The living room has chairs, loveseat and table as well as mini-refrigerator, making it great for entertaining or relaxing
Superior Cabanas: Offer a large private room with large sitting area, air-conditioning, private bath with shower, CD player's, mini frig., coffee pots and 2 queen or 1 king bed.
Standard Cabanas: Each, air-conditioned cabana offers, one or two double beds, ceiling fans, nightstand, closet area, and private bath with shower.
The Duplex: Features air-conditioning, a large shared front porch with both rooms having their own private baths and two double beds.
The Triplex: Features a huge shared front porch facing the Caribbean Sea. Each of the private rooms is air-conditioned and has a private bath and two double beds. These units are perfect for families.
