Because we are Cowgirls and Cowboys here at Green Acres, we ride Cowboy Horses. If our horses could talk they would agree with us that they live a charmed life. all our horses are happy, healthy, and strong. They are well motivated, well behaved, and extremely well loved. Our herd is a mixture of imported Quarter horses and Paints, as well as carefully selected horses within Belize. They are well-suited to the faster paced riding that our experienced riders engage in, yet quiet and gentle for the walking pace of the novice.

It is as important to us as it is to you that you and your horse are well suited and will get on well from the start. We provide instruction and refresher tips, which everyone practices before setting off on the ride. Here at Green Acres we practice and promote a natural horsemanship approach to training and riding.

We have acres of pasture and the deer and the antelope may not play here but several head of cattle do. That makes us genuine cowboys and cowgirls and we ride the western way. We love our horses and spoil them with not only green pastures but grain and oats and sometimes a little molasses. They are happy, healthy and strong. Our Quarter horses are rugged and strong for climbing the mountain terrain, built for speed for the experienced rider, yet quiet, patient and gentle when taking the less experienced for a leisurely walk.
