Hershey Riding Adventure Head down the lanes of the Green Acres orange orchard towards the Sibun River for a horseback river fording! From there, turn into the cocoa fields of the Hershey company. The cocoa fruit, highly revered among the Maya, was eaten and enjoyed and the seeds traded like currency! Your guide explains how this "Food of the Gods" is cultivated and used today. Hershey is home to several unexcavated Maya temples and structures and archeologists have yet to discover the mysteries that lie within. Ride around, between and atop these unexcavated ruins of wonder while learning about the ancient Maya civilization. Bring along your swimsuit and a towel if you think you'd like to opt for a refreshing dip (optional) in the Sibun River before heading back to the Ranch. Lunch Gather round for a farm fresh grilled lunch served family style under the open air dining room at the Palapa. Includes our special smoked drum or BBQ chicken, handmade flour tortillas, corn on the cob, home-style baked beans, and coleslaw. Ice tea or water and a light fruit dessert are included.
